An Extraordinary Life
During this concert, we’ll pay tribute to the extraordinary composer Joseph Bologne, whose remarkable and captivating life is celebrated in a PBS documentary. Bologne emerged from the chains of enslavement in the Caribbean to become a celebrated composer, violinist, friend to French royalty, and acclaimed conductor in the 18th century.
This special concert will feature a captivating arrangement of Bologne's "Overture to L'Amant Anonyme," alongside other chamber works carefully selected by the talented musicians of the Indiana Wind Symphony.
